“I really wanted a pair of boots made in the UK. That was important to me, and when I found Lanx I was impressed by the range. Visually the style of these boots are great, and the are incredibly well made. Unfortunately the last and shape just don’t suit me, being a little more pointy that I would like. “I'm always a bit of a skeptic when reading reviews on such personal items as shoes, but I thought I would leave a review about the shoes I have bought from Lanx. So here goes....
I have seldom bought a pair of proper shoes that cost over £200, not because I'm tight or because I can't afford them, but because I haven't been able to find decent shoes that last and don't hurt. (Blisters etc.)
I saw the Lanx ads on Facebook a while back and liked the ethos of the company,"Northern, well made, approachable.'
I liked the look of the shoes, but I didn't initially purchase, because of past experience with proper shoes and my dodgy feet and my aversion to pain. (Blisters etc.)
I relented and bought a pair of Chelsea boots in October. Much to my surprise, the didn't hurt... At all! Wow! This was a first.
I'm very impressed, not common!
The design of the shoes is very good, solid, strong and well made, exactly what they say on the box! (Very Northern, no airs and graces, you get what you pay for!)
The little elements make the difference, like the pull on loops are big enough for my chubby fingers to fit into them.(Another first!)
When all is said and done, I will buy more, in fact I already have. I have the new ones on as I write this.

Nervous about buying shoes on line, as I like to try them on before I buy, but the social media marketing from LANX lured me in. I love 'em and they are getting worn! “Superbly made and very comfortable. These are boots for all occasions and are made to last. They take a little breaking in; but that’s not an issue given the quality of the materials and how well made they are. I followed the breaking-in instructions (really simple and effortless) and used the LANX supplied dubbin to soften them at the same time. They now feel like ‘slippers’ in every sense of the word apart from grip. Concerning grip; the sole treads are superb and provide genuine confidence in colder weather, either in the city or in more beautiful climbs. Fabulous boots that look the part in jeans or far smarter wear for work or leisure. I hardly ever write reviews but LANX have nailed it - 5 out of 5 from me.”
“Very happy with my new boots . getting to the comfy stage now and feel like ive had them for months and not a few days . Bit dissapointed at first when I did not get my free socks but now realise I did not follow instructions correctly . my fault .”
