“These are smarter than they look in the pictures: I wear them for work on wet, wintery days when finer, more delicate shoes would leave me with damp feet. They're plenty smart enough for a smart-casual workplace. The commando sole makes them nice and sturdy for stomping around though!
On the other hand, I wish they were made in the UK rather than India, and there's no denying that the sizing is out of whack: I'm usually a 7.5, but I got a 6 in these and they're still a fairly loose fit. If you can go to the store and try them on, it's worth taking a look at them.”
