Although Sudocrem is the market leader in the nappy rash sector, it can also be used for other skin conditions as a soothing, protective antiseptic cream.

Sudocrem can be used for:
- cuts
- grazes
- minor burns
- sunburn
- acne
- eczema
- bed sores

Gentle but effective, it won't sting on application. Sudocrem's formulation helps to reduce the risk of infection and contains a mild local anaesthetic to soothe the pain. In addition, it helps a wound to heal and forms a protective barrier over the vulnerable area.

I have been finding it increasingly difficult to source this particular Sudocrem in tube form on the high street; all the major shops seem to stock is the lighter one which is quite a thin consistency and probably only suitable for babies' bottoms. I have a number of actinic keratoses and although the dermatologist keeps an eye on their progress, I do find that the thicker consistency Sudocrem does help to stop them from maturing into full-grown BCCs. It is also very useful to take on holiday as it stays longer on the skin if you get a small injury, rather than disappearing in the sun. Altogether it is very useful, especially in the tube form which is easier to cart about than even the smallest pot.
