“De eerste keer gebruik viel me tegen. Om 9uur twee kopjes koffie in mijn etna 300 gedaan. Om 12 uur koffietijd. Koffie was warm, nog steeds te doen maar ik had gehoopt dat het beter was. Volgende keer eerst vullen met gekookt water proberen”
Hi Yann,
Thank you for the review! Sorry to read that your Kambukka is no longer 100% perfect.
To make sure we understand you correctly, we first have a few questions for you. Ready?
1. When you pour a hot drink into your water bottle, does the outside get hot immediately (within 30 seconds)?
If your answer is ‘yes’, there might be something wrong with the vacuum insulation layer.
2. What do you understand by ‘hot’ coffee or tea?
That seems like an odd question, but it's not. After you fill your Kambukka with hot coffee or tea, its temperature slowly drops to 60°C. That's still ‘hot’, right? Only when the temperature drops below 60° are you right in saying your drink is no longer hot, but ‘lukewarm’ or even ‘cold’.
How long your drink stays hot in your Kambukka drinking bottle (in all models) depends on several factors. We have our products tested by independent partners. They proceed as follows:
- they fill the bottle to the brim with hot liquid (95°C) (in a half-empty bottle the contents do not stay hot as well)
- and they twist the cap firmly on (yep, with every sip you take, your drink cools down faster as more and more cold air enters the bottle).
Do you follow these ‘house rules’ and does your coffee or tea still cool down quickly? If so, please let us know, you can send an email to custmerservice@bibobrands.com.
Thanks!
