“I was more than surprised and delighted on opening up the parcel that arrived. The three volumes of the facsimile of Pride and Prejudice are a delight; I feel as though I've actually got a first edition! The box that they are presented in is very sturdy and very pretty. Inside are three facsimiles of Jane's letters and a lovely bound; in red tape; explanation of the history of the novel. In this is a photograph of her writing slope; of which I've got an almost identical original Regency one! Mine is in a far better condition, but then I haven't written six and a half novels on it! Mine has still got its secret drawers. I feel so pleased that I can display my facsimile copies with my writing slope. If like me it's the number one book buy it; the price is more than reasonable. Please will the Jane Austen Museum produce the same for her other books. I, for one, will buy Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion and Mansfield Park.”
“I really love this set. I did hesitate about the price but, having recieved it, I feel the cost is very reasonable for such excellent quality. Although the set looks very nice on my shelves, I do fully intend to read the books; given the cost of an actual first edition Pride & Prejudice, I feel they will bring me as close to reading the original printing as I am ever going to get.”
