“Artichokes are my favorite vegetable I grew up eating them most often steamed and dipped in ranch dressing and also stuffed with homemade bread crumbs w anchovies cooked by my Nona Rose(great-grandmother)and also my Nanny (grandmother) made them regularly for me. I even had artichokes in my wedding bouquet I made this recipe with a few alterations my artichokes here in America are a much bigger then artichokes that were cooked by the Jewish Nona in Italy so I ended up not frying them but braising them in a Dutch oven for about an hour an hour and serving over Parmesan couscous. “The taste of artichoke was amazing. The sauce perfectly matches deep fried veggies. I could not find average size so I was left with small ones, a lot of work to peel them. I used turkey meat as it's only meat my girlfriend accepts but it came delicious. I love basil taste of meat with artichoke.”
