Artichokes are my favorite vegetable I grew up eating them most often steamed and dipped in ranch dressing and also stuffed with homemade bread crumbs w anchovies cooked by my Nona Rose(great-grandmother)and also my Nanny (grandmother) made them regularly for me. I even had artichokes in my wedding bouquet I made this recipe with a few alterations my artichokes here in America are a much bigger then artichokes that were cooked by the Jewish Nona in Italy so I ended up not frying them but braising them in a Dutch oven for about an hour an hour and serving over Parmesan couscous. Delicious Dinner thank you for the inspiration

The taste of artichoke was amazing. The sauce perfectly matches deep fried veggies. I could not find average size so I was left with small ones, a lot of work to peel them. I used turkey meat as it's only meat my girlfriend accepts but it came delicious. I love basil taste of meat with artichoke.
