Delicious! I've also tried this recipe with shin as skirt is not always available. However, when I went to a good butchers he said bavette steak was the same as skirt so I have have use bavette also. Has anyone got any comments on that , I'd be very interested to hear them. Also, I've included an oxtail or a shin bone, it makes the gravy even more delicious. Obviously remove bones before placing in dish, or leave in of you are freezing a potion.

Made this pie this evening. Two hours after eating it I'm sat here still thinking about how unbelievably good it was. I cannot recommend it highly enough
