“I managed to shoot two woodpigeons this week that were raiding my cousins oilseed rape. Took the breasts off this morning and cooked the recipe this evening for my son and myself. Very simple, very quick ( the onions take the longest time). Absolutely delicious, better than any steak sandwich you will find in any pub or restaurant anywhere in the country. I will try it next with some mallard breasts in a few weeks time. Jamie is right, the meat MUST be served pink (and I am a retired EHO, my colleagues in food law enforcement will wring their hands with worry!!).”
