“Like the other option that Green People produce which was the first one I bought I find this one to be just as good. A good feeling on the skin, the smell is refreshing and most importantly it works so well throughout the day. At the end of the day I am very pleased with how it has performed.
I also very much like the purity of the product and its longevity.”
Thank you for your review.
There are two reasons we don’t produce refills. One is the cost of buying in small quantities of containers and packaging that would be needed – refills would only be suitable for packaging that can be opened to facilitate refilling. Most of our products are in sealed tubes or airless pumps that cannot be refilled. Most sterile cosmetic packaging needs to be bought in quantities of at least 10,000 units, and many packaging manufacturers won’t supply less than 50,000 units – quantities that would be much too large for us to buy for such a limited market.
The second reason is that our products are developed and tested to be compatible with their end packaging. As mentioned above, most products are in crimp sealed tubes or airless pumps – these types of packaging prevent or at least reduce potential contamination of the contents with spoilage micro-organisms. This means that we can use minimal levels of preservatives, making the products safer and less irritating to the end user. Packing the same products in bulk containers that will be repeatedly decanted into smaller containers will inevitably increase the potential contamination risk and will therefore increase the level and strength of the preservatives that would need to be used. That in turn would increase the irritancy of the products and make them less suitable for people with sensitive skin types – one of our main customer groups.
All of our packaging is 100% recyclable (except for our toothpaste and sachets) (Our One Balm is not recyclable but is biodegradable). The environmental impact of our packaging is also reviewed and approved by our organic certification bodies; Soil Association, Organic Food Federation and EcoCert.
We are very conscious of the environmental impact that plastic can have on our environment. We work closely with the Marine Conservation Society and Plant Life and have petitioned against microplastics and do not use glitter or micro-beads in any of our formulations.
The health and safety of our customers of upmost importance to us and we currently bottle our products in 100% recyclable plastic. This is because this material reduces the risk of our products being contaminated by bacterial microbes that are commonly found on human hands and toothbrushes. Plastic is also safer to use in a bathroom environment than glass.
We are slowly making the move into packaging from a plant-based source (Sugarcane), our Sun Lotions and some of our Hair & Body ranges are already using this type of packaging.
We are continually exploring plastic-free packaging options and hope to be in a position to introduce plastic-free packaging that meets our high customer safety requirements in the future.

“I have been getting a rash under my armpits with previous deodorants, but since using Green People for Men No. 8 has completely cleared up.
Great smell and product!”
