“The reason we purchased this sun cream was because we previously used an alcohol based one. When putting it on recently a small bit sprayed onto my wooden dressing table and stripped it of its colour immediately. We thought if its doing that to the wood... What is it doing to our skin? So we started researching organic suncream and came across organic people. We love it so much, it fully protects and is not oily at all. It is slightly sticky when you first put it on, however this goes within a few minutes. Im really pleased we found organic people - I have since purchased face cream and fake tan (other products that I have found in my cosmetics that contain lots of harmful stuff, but these dont at all!). “I am naturally of fair complexion although I do tan but it takes me ages. I hate sunbathing, its not something I ever do. I only get tanned from walking about or sitting in the sun so I end up two toned with my legs still very pale, more accurately white, with my arms, shoulders, face and decolletage tanned. This means I dont wear sundresses, skirts or shorts because I look daft. We went on holiday at the beginning of the year so didnt want to fashion the two toned look and knew I would end up wearing trousers the whole holiday so thought I would try this self tan. I first tried the week before as I have never used self tan before and incase I messed it up and it was all streaky and blotchy but it was fabulous. So the week after I had a shower Saturday night and exfoliated put the self tan on Sunday morning, walked round in shorts most of the day and washed it off that evening. We flew out Monday morning and it looked so natural. It wasnt a deep tan just a lovely natural golden tan and throughout the holiday as my upper body got browner I matched beautifully so had my legs were exposed all holiday. I love this product and will be using it all summer. A few tips for applying if youre new to self tan like I was. I bought a natural ramie exfoliating mitt and used it with my regular shower wash to exfoliate prior to application. Then applied body lotion. I did this the night before. First thing the following morning I applied the self tan lotion using a self tan mitt. It was so easy to use. You only need a small amount (I used 1 pump for the lower part of my leg and 2 pumps for the upper) and DONT start applying around boney areas or joints like ankles, knees, elbows etc. otherwise you will put too much product on these areas which can go much darker. I started on my calf and shin and massaged it in really well. Then without applying anymore product gently messaged it over my foot, ankles and knees. This gave a really natural finish without the dark patches you sometimes see around the boney areas and joints. I hope this helps but Im sure you will find your own way to apply. Oh and put plastic gloves on under the self tanning mitt otherwise your hands will end up orange as the product transfers through the glove. Thank you Green People for another amazing product.”
“Smooths on easily and gives a nice glow. Smell is OK compared to others Ive tried. Like all self tans you have to prepare skin properly ie. with a dry brush or exfoliating scrub, and massage it in well otherwise youll get streaks! This is my second tube and I can recommend it. :slightly_smiling:”
