However I was really shocked and disappointed to see the safety alert and Don't Buy recommendation after the Which test, where this product failed the UVA test. We are aware of a report published in the July issue of Which? that investigated mineral sun lotions.
The report found that Green People Scent Free Sun Cream SPF30 for body provides the claimed SPF30 level of protection against UVB rays and will therefore protect skin against redness and burning as a result of sun exposure.
However, the magazine also stated that the tests they carried out on Green People Scent Free Sun Cream SPF30 batch no: 082103 showed that it provided a lower level of protection against UVA rays than the EU and UK Recommendations. We are surprised at this result and had this batch and others retested, by an independent lab.

We have received the final report in relation to UVA protection for the above two products.
The products tested were filtering out 83.33% and 86.7% UVA, compared to the target protection level of 90% (the Children’s Sun Cream achieved the highest percentage).
Although there is little significant difference between the test results and the recommended target, we can ensure you, that we are in the process of reformulating and testing to guarantee that both products achieve the minimum 1/3 protection as stated in the EU Recommendations.
All Green People sun care products offer the correct level of protection against UVB rays as claimed by their SPF level. Results also showed that all Green People SPF15 creams (face and body formulations) and our Scent Free Facial Sun Cream SPF30 deliver the recommended UVA protection.
