“Have been using this for a long time (probably a few years now at least) and is by far one of the best shampoos for my curly hair. It’s organic and appears to have a very well thought out formula without any typically problematic ingredients (besides essential oils which can be harsh for some). I’m really pleased as I spent a lot of my teens buying products which promised one thing but were always poor in other areas, be that consistency or ingredients. Very pleased. My only ‘complaint’ is that my scalp gets oiler a bit quicker compared to less natural/organic shampoos.”

Knowing that the Moisturising Shampoo has finally delivered on both ingredients and performance after years of disappointing products that promised one thing and delivered another is really meaningful to hear. That cycle of compromise is something so many people with curly hair experience and we set out to break it.
Your point about the scalp oiling more quickly is really insightful and completely understandable. Conventional shampoos often use strong detergents that strip the scalp so thoroughly that it overproduces oil as a response - which actually creates the illusion of longer-lasting freshness whilst damaging the scalp's natural balance over time. Our gentler formula does not trigger that overcorrection, which means the scalp behaves more naturally but may need washing a little more frequently while it adjusts.
For many people this settles down over time as the scalp recalibrates to a healthier baseline. We hope you continue to find it your go-to for many more years!
