Why did you choose Green People Toothpaste?
“I had a Brazilian Blow Dry on my hair in October. Given the cost of that procedure I wanted to be sure that I used a shampoo and conditioner that didn't have SLS, salt and those other nasty ingredients that would ruin the BBD. The products also needed to be budget friendly. I did some research and found this shampoo and conditioner that happily ticked the boxes. I read the reviews and purchased the products. I was perfectly happy with the lack of any significant lather, I fully expected that. The smell, whilst not the most pleasant, was also not a major issue. I was reasonably happy with both the shampoo and conditioner for the first month as my hair felt clean and conditioned. Plus, you didn't need to use a lot of product. However, all of a sudden things have gone down hill badly. I only wash my hair twice a week, and without doing anything differently (still using the same amount of product), suddenly my freshly washed hair is left feeling like I have a coating of product on it. It's that feel of not having rinsed my hair properly even though I have. Once dry, my hair has a greasy, coated, heavy look and feel to it, which I absolutely hate. As such, I won't be using the shampoo and conditioner any more, which is a real waste of money. Shame, as I had high hopes and it did start well.”

The Daily Aloe Shampoo is amongst our most concentrated products and usually produces copious lather even at low usage levels.
Are you using any other treatments or products on the hair – particularly hair spray or styling products? If you are, then these can be more difficult to wash away and that might be reducing the foaming capacity of the shampoo.
Regarding the ‘build-up’ or coating on the hair that sounds as if something is not being washed or rinsed away properly. I would suggest washing the hair as normal using a reasonably small quantity of shampoo. This should then be rinsed away thoroughly and the process repeated again with a small quantity of shampoo. I would expect the second washing will produce substantially more foam and will clean the hair of whatever residue in sticking to it much more effectively. Again, this should be thoroughly rinsed away before applying conditioner.

“I chose this product because a series of other shampoos and conditioners I was trying had started to make my head itch, and my hairdresser recommended that I first find a shampoo that was ok and go from there. I knew that I didn't have a reaction to this shampoo in the past so bought a bottle and have been using it for abut 3 or 4 weeks now, and from the start the itching went away (much to my relief). I have kept on using my usual conditioner and styling product as before, and my hair looks shinier and curlier too! I am very happy with this product and will keep on ordering it!”
