Abelia or glossy abelia are mound forming shrubs with paired or whorled leaves and clusters of tunnel shaped scented flowers in late Summer and early Autumn. Abelia are very easy to grow and should be planted in fertile, well-drained soil in full sunlight. They respond well to haircuts to keep them looking tidy.
