Thuja - cedar - are fast growing, evergreen conifers, they have compact yellowish green foliage that when crushed smells heavenly of pineapple. They respond very well to being trimmed and make a lovely hedge, not as quick growing as the leylandii and can be trimmed hard. To plant thujas they like pretty much all soils but don't like to sit wet.

“I called up and spoke to a knowledgable and polite member of staff. The 220/240cm Thuka Plicata Excelsa ordered arrived on time and in pristine condition. The delivery person thoughtfully positioned them out of the way in our drive in the shade with the soil still damp (it was a very hot day). When removed from their pots, the roots looked very healthy and uncrowded. Excellent experience end-to-end. Thank you!”
