Laurus Nobilis are more commonly know as Bay Laurels form a large shrub or tree. They are evergreen with glossy, aromatic leaves which can be used in cooking. In spring they bear clusters of green-yellow flowers which are followed on female plants by black berries. Bay Laurels are best suited to fertile soils and planted in full or partial sun in a sheltered position. Regular pruning is not required but they can be trimmed to maintain their shape in late spring.
