Thuja - cedar - are fast growing, evergreen conifers, they have compact yellowish green foliage that when crushed smells heavenly of pineapple. They respond very well to being trimmed and make a lovely hedge, not as quick growing as the leylandii and can be trimmed hard. To plant thujas they like pretty much all soils but don't like to sit wet. “I phoned the nursery before hand to get some advice, they could not be more helpful, they even went as far as sending pictures of the actual plants, the plants did arrive a day earlier than told so it was a good job I was home, again the young man was polite and helpful, I then sent a msg to them after to ask a question and yet again they were more than happy to help, I'm hoping the plants survive as they were only planted one day before a huge snow fall so fingers crossed, overall I am very pleased with the service I recieved thank you”
