Laurus Nobilis are more commonly know as Bay Laurels form a large shrub or tree. They are evergreen with glossy, aromatic leaves which can be used in cooking. In spring they bear clusters of green-yellow flowers which are followed on female plants by black berries. Bay Laurels are best suited to fertile soils and planted in full or partial sun in a sheltered position. They make a fantastic hedge in the urban and costal areas where hard frosts are not common . They grow well in fertile soil in full or partial sun and should be sheltered from cold winds. Trim to maintain the shape in late spring.
