Ceanothus or californian lilac are evergreen shrubs which can grow into small trees if left to their own. Ceanothus prostratus - creeping blue blossom, forms a mound of bright, glossy green leaves, Large panicles of bright blue flowers in late Spring and early Summer. To grow ceanothus they are suitable for shrub borders at the back or against a sunny wall. Ceanothus should be grown in fertile, well-drained soil. Ceanothus thyrsiflorus repens are a Evergreen, dense shrub that forms a mound of glossy, dark green leaves. Racemes of blue flowers are borne in late spring and early summer. Height can reach up to 1m and the spread 1.5m
