Leucothoe give a super splash of all year round colour, brightly multi coloured, red, pink and green leaves, turns fiery red in autumn. They grow well in fertile, acidic soil and do not require regular pruning as they have a very tidy habit. Damaged or out of place branches can be removed to maintain the tidy shape. Scarletta is an evergreen, spreading, relatively low-growing. Young leaves are green with bright red edges, maturing to a dark, glossy green and turning a bronze-red in autumn and winter. Small, white flowers are borne in spring. Height reaching 1.5m tall.
