Prunus Lusitanica - Portuguese Laurel are fantastic laurels that are a great alternative to the classic cherry Laurel. They are more formal in appearance with their dark green, medium sized pointed foliage set against red stems. They are slower growing, you would get 1-2 ft of growth a year. A lot tougher than the cherry laurel and can withstand exposed sites, perfect for the North of the country.
