Abelia or glossy abelia are mound forming shrubs with paired or whorled leaves and clusters of tunnel shaped scented flowers in late Summer and early Autumn. A beautiful evergreen shrub withdark green foliage with lovely soft white fragrant flowers that last from summer until autumn Abelia are very easy to grow and should be planted in fertile, well-drained soil in full sunlight. They respond well to haircuts to keep them looking tidy. Abelia look lovely in containers, gravel gardens and flower borders.
