Phyllostachys Bissettii - green caned bamboos are the best hedge for windy spots compared to the other bamboo they form a nice dense hedge. They have dark green, narrow leaves and canes.They make a graceful screen whilst adding movement to the garden. You will need some room as they make large bushy clumps

“Oh wow - these do a wonderful job ! But they will be kept in their pots or planted in their pots! As I believe they spread via rhizomes ! Presumably like nettles and ivy - am aware, but they are magnificent !!”

“Nothing like as good as the photograph. These plants had been potted on and were not as established as a true 18 litre potted bamboo. There was 2inches of fresh compost all the way around and underneath the roots that were shaped by the smaller pot they had come out of. One, in particular was very spindly. Some culms were as tall as described on all three plants.”
