Brunnera are also know as forget me nots, they are a gardeners favourite as they tolerate the shade really well. They are very low maintenance and have long lasting sprays of brightly coloured flowers. They are also the perfect ground cover plant, that has large leaves and can some varieties can be variegated. Its common name bugloss refers to the Greek name for ox tongue which again relates to the shape of the leaves. Unfortunately they are tasty to slugs and snails, so get out early with the pellets but they are perfect for areas where deer are prone as they will not eat them Brunnera Jack Frost are grown for their heart shaped silver foliage edged with green veins, in spring blue flowers are produced. Height can reach 50cm Grow in moist but well drained soil in a cool site.

Both the plants and customer service were disappointing - I received plants with bug damage, sun damage and (according to my garden designer) possible disease. I contacted Grasslands straight away who insisted the plants were “perfectly healthy” and refused to offer a refund. Despite my pushback, they weren’t able to help at all whatsoever, and only offered to have me send them back at my own expense. The way they handled the situation turned me from a possible customer for life, into someone who will actively avoid Grasslands, and warn others against them as well. Really, really awful experience. The plants, worth about £50 including shipping, are now in the bin.
