GU Old Style Replacement Door Lock Gearbox 35mm
A replacement GU Old type uPVC door lock gearbox centre case. This is the central gearbox unit found on your uPVC door lock mechanism. Our gearbox is manufactured to a high quality using robust components to ensure long lasting and faultless performance. When replacing your door lock gearbox you must ensure it is the exact same make and model otherwise it will not be compatible.
Replacing the door gearbox is a cost effective alternative to replacing the whole door lock which runs the length of the door.
Compatibility
This gearbox will only be a compatible replacement for GU old style 35mm backset locks. Please check that your existing gearbox matches the images exactly.

“The second one I bought worked okay. The first one wouldn't work properly. You could stop the lock from working with your finger and you couldn't turn the key to lock the door. Don't know what the problem was.”

“Excellent service from GB DIYStore. The first unit had a clunky movement and jammed on first use in the door. I contacted GBDIY store by email and explained the situation. Nathan replied promptly and promised to send a replacement unit tested by their warehouse manager prior to shipment by next day carrier. The unit was received the next working day. The movement was smooth before fitting and when fitted in the door it worked perfectly with smooth movement. It was disappointing that the first unit failed but I can't fault the support from GBDIYstore and would certainly use them again.”

“The fitted lock was very rough to use and the internal workings were tight and could not be relied on to unlock, I rang GB DIY store who was very helpful and sent me a replacement the same day at no charge and it was an improvement”

“After initial problems of not being able to fully lock the door and remove the key in the locked position, I had to slightly adjust/fettle the original key barrel's moving tongue. beyond that, it has worked perfectly. I attach an explanatory note. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars. I think it is worth pointing out that I've packed the GU unit with grease.”
