“The rash guards are the perfect length and don't come as much while I roll. The shorts don't move and keep everything in! Love to support a brand for women.”
“When I wear these spats I can honestly say I feel completely like myself. I have never worried about a wardrobe malfunction or someone seeing something they're not supposed to see. No slippage, completely opaque no matter how inverted or banana split I am, no camel toe. The only thing I worry about when I wear these spats is my jiujitsu, which is how it should be. These are worth every penny. It's not just the product, it's the experience and mentality the product facilitates.

“I've been training in Gaidama gear for the past year and a half, and no other grappling brand compares for female fits!
I have the Avant Garde spats in both black and dusky rose, and even through a 5-hour training camp, you couldn't see sweat marks through the material at all. They are totally opaque and the inner drawstring keeps them in place all day long. The cut is ultra-flattering, and I feel more confident in my body wearing these spats. You won't want to wear anything else!”
“The high waist keeps everything in place and the drawstring adds another layer of security...there is no pulling up of these spats throughout rolling/wrestling/running/lifting/napping.
As a long-legged lady, the full length Avante Garde spats are my personal favorite and fit my frame perfectly.
For reference, I am 5'9", 135lbs, and wear the smalls in all of the available bottoms.”
“The material feels and looks great! I was borderline between M and L at 160lb 5'6". Based on my bottom heavy shape I knew I should have went for the L but of course I was vain and ordered M. Despite being tighter than I like, the seams (in the thigh for my shape) aren't having any trouble keeping in my extra padding. I appreciate the wide waste band as well. It pushes my flab up (again my fault for ordering small) but its only vanity as they still feel super comfy during rolling! I did a stress test and they are not see through even a little bit. Super impressed and ordering another pair... in size L.”
“I started bjj about 4 months ago and quickly realized I wanted to roll in spats without shorts. As a 5' 5" woman with a large bottom half, some belly, and some back rolls, finding comfortable spats has been exhausting. I also am focusing on buying clothing that do not trigger body anxiety. Here are the spats I've tried and their issues:
Fuji: FULL rear view
Pressure Grappling: Short waist band makes camel toe inevitable
Zenko Fightware: A little see through
So after all of those, I finally tried these. The reviews made me feel confident in buying them despite the $20 price difference. I've already worn them twice. Not see through AT ALL. According to the size chart I'm an XL but I don't like my spats to compress me so I ordered a 2XL and they fit perfectly-- no body anxiety triggers. The waist band is high but not too high. There is reinforcement in the thighs that prevents camel toe but doesn't squeeze. I love them. I just wish they had about 5 more color options :) because I would buy every one.”
“These leggings are perfect for grappling. They're thick enough where I don't feel I need to wear anything under or over them. The waistband is thick and it comes with a string so you can tighten it which helps keep these in place. I forget that spats riding up or down was even a problem for me until I forget to have these washed for no gi and have to use my other bjj spats. Granted, they don't come in a bunch of colors like my other spats, but they are still very beautiful, high-quality leggings and completely worth it. The sizing is typical of other bjj brands, order a size up. I am normally a small in other sports leggings (think Adidas and Nike), but wear a size medium in these.”
