“im barely 5ft, 250lbs, bottom heavy (47inch hips), top heavy (40DDD), meaty mid section (34in waist), i purchased a 3XL. i was so nervous about these spats. ive tried other spats that say 3XL but arent or the stretch isnt there, or there was too much compression and i couldnt breathe or move. THESE FLIPPING SPATS ARE THE BEST OUT THERE. When i tell you ive spent nearly $1,000 trying to find the correct bottoms for BJJ and Muay Thai, i was ready to give up. Thanks instagram for stalking me and sending me Gaidama ads. See i have a hard time asking all the other BJJ girlies where they buy their stuff because they are a lot smaller than me. The ads for Gaidama (PLEASE UPGRADE YOUR ADS), only show smaller women, so i ignored them. for whatever reason, i decided to look and im glad i did. The sizes are inclusive and from what ive heard, they are even about to start selling 4X, thats a game changer. so back to the review, my dimensions well, i was worried about body parts falling out, the waist rolling down, the top lifting up, NO ONE OF THAT HAPPENED. the material is soft, breathable, it moves with you, and i was dry after class, the moisture wicking is top notch!!!! i was also worried that the top would roll because it didnt have that clear rubber band like some other No Gi tops... it is not needed, my top didnt move. i highly recommend, HIGHLY RECOMMEND the gaidama spats and tops for your BJJ and Muay thai needs.”
“The material is thick and high quality, the design with all the details is very flattering on the body. The fit is compressive. I’m typically a size 6 and small with other types of athletic leggings, this one fits a bit tighter which was fine for me. If you are in between sizes, I would order up a size. Very happy with the quality and looks of the spats, especially at this price!”
“My favorite grappling spats! A quick note about sizing: when I first purchased these 2-3 years ago (before the waistband changes), I bought a S and it was perfectly snug. I bought another S a year ago and found it to be not quite as tight as I’d like, now that they made the waistband bigger. I just purchased an XS, and it is the perfect fit. I’m 5’4”, 123ish pounds with a smaller waist and bigger hips/butt/thighs.”
“Review of spats: It is hard to find petite length pants, let alone spats for BJJ. The cut is perfect and holds up to everything their description described (quality fabric, camel toe prevention, superior waistband etc.) The large size fits perfectly for my 5’3” 165lb body. The best part is the hidden drawstring and cross stitch across the thighs. This allowed for the spats to stay in place. I don’t have prominent hips, so the draw sting is perfect. The spats did not side down or yank up causing uncomfortableness around my women parts.
Review of company: Customer service is great. Submitted questions via website, prompt response. I initially ordered a Xl and exchanged it for a Large. The process was quick and easy. 2 weeks after ordering, I had the pleasure of stopping by their booth at a tournament and physically touch their products. I fell in love with everything. The quality/design of all their rash guards and spats are amazing. They had a large variety of patterns for females. You can tell that the company is proud of their product and cared about customer satisfaction.”
“My first pair of Gaidama gear and I’m in love. I won’t be able to wear anything else now that I’ve been awoken. I’m about 5’10 and 145lbs usually leggings that aren’t labeled as “extra long” ride up to my shin, I’ve tried everything from Origin to Gymshark and nothing compares, these hit perfectly right above my ankle, they keep all my areas concealed that I don’t want seen and all the right areas compressed (ladies if you know you know). They’re thick but not the kind of thick to where they roll/lift under the booty or to where you’re dying from over heating. They’re perfect, I wore them to class and literally ordered another pair on my way home.

“These hug in all the right places. I can wear them under my gi or as my nogi bottoms by themselves. They are comfy, they don’t stretch out after wearing for awhile and non-see through. I wish all my spats were like this.”
“I love these spats! I am 5'7" and 150 pounds. I got the mediums and they are a perfect fit. There is very minimal sliding down during rolls and drills. They're flattering and don't show my underwear. My favorite part is that there is no seam in the middle, so no CT!! Wish all leggings did this! They are a tiny bit thick for really warm weather so I most likely won't wear these during the summer (because it's 100 degrees and humid here), but they are really perfect. I have 2 pairs!”
