My first spats and rash guards from Gaidama were the Avant Garde, and I sized up in those because I like a less constricting fit. I could honestly live in the Avant Garde spats they're so comfortable. I figured the ranked gear would fit similar to the Avant Garde spats and rash guards, so I sized up, but I should've stuck with my usual size as these run bigger than the Avant Garde. I think I even could've even sized down. Depending on how you like your fit, just keep that in mind.”

I am 5ft2 140lbs, and the fit is nice, though I wish short was an option for these spats when I purchased because they do bunch up at the ankle. That said, it's not enough to be bothersome or uncomfortable. With my height, I knew it may happen.”
“I rarely write reviews, but I love love these. They fit perfectly, cover me well, stay put during rolls, and a comfortable. Not to mention they are beautiful.
However, maybe I just got a defective pair. I’ve worn them once and they already are showing some running in the seam at the crotch area. Because they are an investment due to cost, I am disappointed about that part.

“I am never worried about embarrassing exposure. These spats don’t move. 13 years ago, when I started, there really wasn’t any gear for women for nogi.
