“I bought these chocolates for my Mother's 80th birthday. They arrived looking old, subjected to temperature change and squashed. Friars claim they have excellent quality control and it must have been the distribution company (Royal Mail). For a family company that has been around for a long time and pride themselves on quality control, it would be expected that Friars would send the chocolates in a fashion that would not be deteriorated by transport. I do not accept their claim. I believe they as many other businesses during this lockdown have suffered and sent old stock to stay afloat. To be fair, there was a no nonsense refund and that is why they received two stars instead of one.”

“Fantastic chocolates - my daily treat! I used to buy rose and violet creams from another well known supplier, but actually prefer these. The chocolate is nice and dark and the filling not too sweet. They always arrive really quickly too. Thank you Friars!”
