Starting the day with our guide Tharindu picking us up from Kandy, we were already impressed with the level of comfort and service. Visiting the Vedda Village was moving—we had the honor of speaking to the Chief, learning about the tribe's lifestyle, and watching their folk dance. There was so much warmth and hospitality. After a delicious lunch, we made our way to Mahiyanganaya Temple, a site rich in history and peace. We spent time walking the grounds and learning from Tharindu about Buddhist traditions. The final stretch of the day was a boat ride on Sorabora Lake, followed by a surprise high tea! Everything from the view to the tea presentation was top-notch.
