The boat ride on Koggala Lake was peaceful, and our guide, Ashan, pointed out so much wildlife (including monkeys and birds). The Japanese Peace Pagoda was serene and offered some of the best views we’d seen. Our boys were fascinated by the huge standing Buddha statue, and even more so by the stories our guide told at the temple. Lunch was fresh and tasty, and the car was air-conditioned and comfy.
