“This tour was so much fun. The monkeys are adorable and well habituated to humans. The forest is well planned and is well attended by keepers who make sure that the monkeys do not run off with loose things or valuables and are (reasonably) well behaved. Our guide, Sugara, was amazing. If you are traveling to Bali, you should take this tour from ForeverVacations and make sure to ask for Sugara as your guide. He is the best.”
“This tour was full of surprises and exciting inclusions.
We kicked off our day visiting Tirta Empul Temple. This was not only my favourite place on my recent trip to Bali; it makes the top 3 of my favourite experiences travelling anywhere in the world. Getting the opportunity to participate in the cleansing ritual was once in a lifetime. To accompany our guide Hendy, we were walked through the process with our temple guide. Going to great lengths to share the reasoning behind the different elements of the ritual and working with us to ensure we had the greatest experience (and greatest chance for our wishes to come true). From the blessing and requesting permission to participate right through to the final spout this experience was phenomenal. Our guide Hendy also took some exceptional photos and taught us a few tricks so we could get our own awesome snaps.
Next, we visited Kanto Lampo, here we were so lucky that the rain had deterred a lot of people so we were free to take advantage of the exceptional photo spots and get some awesome snaps. The water is refreshing and it such a great way to keep cool in the heat and humidity. I absolutely love waterfalls I think they are the most amazing nature experiences and Kanto Lampo did not disappoint.
Finally we made our way to Tanah Lot temple to experience low tide and parts of the sunset (it was a very overcast day), it is a beautiful spot, surrounded by crashing waves and a fantastic mix of domestic and international tourists.
NOTE: We made the decision to forgo the monkey forest, as traffic was terrible and we chose to prioritise Tanah Lot so we could experience in the daylight.”
