Organic Chickpea Flour - High Fibre, Gluten-Free & 100% Organic
Our organic chickpea flour (also known as chick pea flour or chickpea powder) is a nutrient-rich alternative to traditional wheat flour. Milled from whole dried chickpeas, it’s naturally gluten-free, low in sugar and fat, and packed with fibre and plant-based protein.

Since it’s made from whole chickpeas, this flour retains all the nutritional goodness, rich in folate, and a source of copper and manganese. It’s perfect for anyone looking to add variety and nutrition to their cooking, especially for turmeric falafel.

The key benefits include:

● 100% organic
● Naturally gluten-free
● Acts as a natural binder - great for egg-free recipes

Chickpea flour makes wonderful onion bajhis and has a strong tradition in Indian, Pakistani, Nepali and Bangladeshi cuisines. Chickpea flour works as a binder so it can be used in the place of eggs in vegan cooking. Chickpea flour works in breads, cakes and pancakes for a alternative to traditional wheat based flours.

For best results, try combining it with other flours like tigernut flour, almond flour, or buckwheat flour for more texture and flavour.

This is a useful product for those who cannot cope with wheat flour. However, it does not act at all like wheat flour in cooking so making 'bread' requires a quite different recipe. It is perfectly acceptable for making white sauce and none of the family have noticed that this is what I use. Of course the simple way round the 'what recipe?' problem is to adopt the wide range of recipes from Indian cooking that use this product in all sorts of ways.

Beautiful flavour when added to spelt flour for my savoury herb pancakes. Also use it to make loaves of chickpea bread
