These Organic Dried Cranberries are infused with organic apple juice for a delicate sweet/sour combination.
Our Organic Dried Cranberries are infused with organic apple juice to offset the tartness of this antioxidant rich berry. Cranberries are a really delicious addition to baking recipes or are great for a simple snack; they can be used in so many ways and are a popular ingredient in sweet and savoury dishes to add natural sweetness.  Cranberries are particularly good in fruit cake and scones.

Organic Dried Cranberries start off as fresh tart red berry and are dried naturally to produce these tasty little treats.

Organic Cranberries are renowned for their antioxidant content which is why you often find them in a supplement form.  They have higher antioxidant levels than almost any fruit, apart from blueberries and have an ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity )rating of 9090 micromoles/litre of Trolox equivalents per 100 grams.

The quality appears excellent insofar as the berries look absolutely clean & perfect and without blemish and insect damage. This has been the case each time I have bought the product, so the quality appears to be reliable; in contrast with raisins, where you take a gamble with each new batch. My only grumble is that the cranberries come drenched in oil, and can taste sickly sweet from the added apple juice, and so they need a really good rinsing before use.

The berries appear to be absolutely perfect: I have now used about one quarter of the 10kg which I bought, and I have not yet come across one single dodgy berry, so I am really delighted with them. I do, however, feel the need to give these cranberries a good soak and rinse to get at least some of the oil and apple juice out of them.

These cranberries are perfectly balanced, adding a delicate burst of sweetness to savoury dishes like Moroccan style beef kebabs.
