Organic Lerida Dried Figs are a delicious dense fruit for trail mix.
Organic dried  figs are a delicious gooey snack full of flavour.  If you remember eating dried fig rolls as a child these healthy snacks will transport you back there in a moment without any need for added sugar. Nutrient dense and full of flavour, figs are a great addition to sweet and savoury recipes.

These dry figs are from the common fig tree which is part of the mulberry family.  Figs are native to Asia where they have been grown and cultivated for centuries but they will happily grow in Europe in a sunny spot.

The benefits of dried figs include:

Sweet, natural flavour for baking and snacks.
Chewy texture for breads and mixes.
They are versatile. Enjoy plain, in salads, or in sauces.

You can try your hand at making your own version of fig rolls by trying tray bakes or giving fig and olive tapenade a try as a gourmet starter.  Dried Figs are great for the maintenance of healthy bones.  This makes them a good option for vegan diets.

Ingredients: Organic Figs
