Organic Barley Flakes - 5kg - Forest Whole Foods Ltd Reviews

Organic Barley Flakes make a hearty homemade muesli base.
Organic Barley Flakes are made from whole barley grains which are steamed and then rolled.  Organic Barley grain is closely related to wheat and rye.  It is considered ancient because it has been farmed for over 6000 years without changing.

If you like baking then barley flakes can be used to make rustic breads with added depth and nutrition.  We love making crumbles and these make a great wholesome addition to the topping.

These tasty barley flakes are a perfect ingredient to add to granola recipes or muesli bars.  We find forgiving recipes such as banana breads and muffins are great with a handful of barley flakes thrown in for added texture and flavour.

We also stock a range of other delicious flakes

“I use this alongside oats and rye in my home-made muesli, very tasty - slightly milkier flavour than oats”
