Organic Kamut Grain is a very special and ancient grain.
Organic Kamut Grain is one of our most popular products. It is an ancient cereal grain which is part of the wheat family. Kamut is different from modern wheat because it has been cultivated in the same way for centuries without being modified.
Try using Kamut in grain salads full of fresh herbs and olive oil. It has a rich buttery taste which goes well in a wide range of dishes.
The name ‘Kamut’ is actually a trademarked description of khorosan wheat. It has been controlled in this way because it is such a unique ancient variety of wheat. It can only bear the Kamut name if it strictly meets the requirements of this special grain.
To be called Organic Kamut, the product must:
• Be ancient Khorasan Wheat and not the product of any breeding.
• Be certified Organic.
• Be 99% free of contamination from modern wheat.
• It must contain 12-18% protein.
