Organic Aronia Berries are Perfect for Aronia Juice
Also known as chokeberries, these are a popular new addition to the health food market and if you havent tried them, they are a great addition to your store cupboard. Organic aronia berries have a higher antioxidant status than almost any other berry, their tart dryness makes them a great low sugar choice for trail mix.

The tartness of these organic aronia berries is due to their high vitamin C content.  Vitamin C is an antioxidant which is essential for normal function of the immune system and skin health. This tartness is also a reason for the name chokeberry, as the sweet and sour taste can give your taste buds a shock. If you like sour sweets then you will love these tasty berries.  We like to combine them with other sweeter berries, such as organic mulberries, for a real taste sensation.

Organic aronia berries are perfect for trail mix or blending into a refreshing aronia juice (or chokeberry juice), offering a tart, antioxidant-rich boost to your diet.

Whether you call them Aronia or Chokeberries, they are exactly the same thing and originated in North America. These nutrient rich berries are also grown easily throughout Europe and are similar to bilberries.

If I had done this review when I first tasted the berries I think I probably would have given them one star. They do have a curiously dry texture - even when they’ve been soaked. However, my Scottish blood dictated that I eat them so I persevered. I really like them now and miss their addition to my apple, nuts and kefir breakfast if I forget to soak them the night before.

Bit dry but this was my own fault, I should’ve read about these berries in advance and they’re well known for being dry!
