Organic cardamom pods have such a powerful, fragrant scent. If you have visited India the smell will transport you straight back to the chai tea sellers and vibrant spice markets.
Other than in Indian chai, cardamom pods are also used for Middle Eastern coffee and Scandinavian baking. The flavour comes from the seeds inside each pod. Bruising the pods before cooking releases their fragrance, adding depth to rice, meats, and desserts.
Cardamom lends itself to sweet and savoury dishes and is a key flavour in our organic garam masala.
Our Organic Cardamom pods are dried using warm air and no other chemical processes take place. They are high in Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron as well as containing a whopping 28% of your manganese requirements in a single teaspoon.
