Organic Tricolor Quinoa is a seed that works like a grain.
Organic Tricolor Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) is a colourful trio of 3 quinoa varieties. Organic tricolor quinoa is a source of protein so is a popular choice with vegans and vegetarians. It contains all the essential amino acids needed for human nutrition.
Quinoa is a 'pseudo-grain' which means that although we use it as a grain it is actually a seed. This means it is higher in nutrients and protein than most grains. One 90g serving of quinoa (cooked) is a source of Folate, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Copper and Manganese.
Our tricolor quinoa hails from Peru and is grown in the Andean Mountains where it has been a staple food for thousands of years. Quinoa goes well in a wide range of sweet and savoury recipes.
