Organic Cacao Paste Drops are also known as cacao liquor and cacao mass. It is 100% pure cacao. Organic cacao beans are simply hulled, dried and then milled into organic cacao mass and then solidified in to handy circular shapes called drops. Our organic cacao paste has been cold milled and is not roasted.
It is produced in the mountainous San Martin region of Peru. This area is approximately 300-900m above sea level and has various native communities. This is the perfect area for cacao production!
Cacao is often referred to as 'food of the gods'. This is due to its rich taste and nutritional power. Cacao contains over 300 chemically distinct compounds and is rich in plant polyphenols. The most beneficial polyphenols are called flavonoids, these have an antioxidant action in the body.

Organic Homemade Chocolate
Ingredients
80g organic cacao paste
60g organic cacao butter
50g organic date sugar
Method
1. Grab a saucepan and 1/4 fill with water, bring to the boil. Add a suitable size bowl on top.
2. Add the organic cacao butter and and cacao paste and melt whilst stirring.
3. Once the cacao paste and butter have melted, add the organic date sugar. Stir until the date sugar dissolves.
4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into moulds or ice cube tray, place in the fridge or freezer to harden.
