Organic Onion Powder is simply made from fresh onions which are dried and ground down. This powder tastes and smells like regular onions but has a slightly different tang to freshly cut ones and it blends easily. This product is a great addition to soups, stews and homemade seasonings.
If like us you love onion, you will probably always have a good supply of fresh ones at all times. Although fresh onion is wonderfully pungent and creates a good texture, it is sometimes time consuming to prepare and it doesn't blend well into all recipes.
Onion powder still has a powerful kick and dry rubs into flour, blends easily into gravies and doesn't burn quickly when used as a topping (e.g. breading veggie burgers). Onion powder is also useful when making quick dips as you can get an even flavour throughout.
