From what you’ve described, it sounds like the test with the money box may not have been the best indicator of the magnet’s performance. Many money boxes are made from very thin or low-grade metal (or even coated materials), which can significantly reduce how well a magnet can attract them - even if they feel heavy overall. Our magnets tend to perform best when attracting solid steel objects of similar thickness and composition, particularly in real magnet fishing conditions.
Magnet fishing can also take a bit of time and patience to get results, especially depending on the location and what’s beneath the surface. That said, we absolutely want you to feel confident in your purchase.
