“Love the new saw, cuts 45 degrees accurately. Cut 45s on 3x3x3/8 and made blocks to fit the angle iron flush to the vise. The only problem I had was I made 14 cuts and the 14 inch blade was finished.Luckily I had purchased a 15 inch Evolution blade from Amazon and finished my project. Feed the blade slowly and and little down pressure. Overally love the saw just wished the blades would last longer.”

“It would be great if a shop vac connection could be incorporated into the saw design to help with chip collection. The tray does a good job but a vac port would help. Otherwise, great saw.”

“It's not as good as I had hoped. When using the attachment to hold round tubing or to hold square tubing the cut is not exactly square and this is disappointing. When the fence is set to cut mitres the clamping portion has a tendency to ride up and this can also throw the cut off. The machine is solidly made but the design has a few flaws as noted.”

“If you’re reading this because you’re wondering if you should spend the money versus buying a lesser expensive bandsaw or abrasive chop saw, you SHOULD. I bought both of those other types and struggled to keep them setup correctly. Then I finally got the right saw - this one. No oily mess from cutting fluid, no sparks flying, just quick, very square cuts. Every. Single. Time. Buy the other saws - then come back and buy this one while kicking yourself for not doing it to start with.”

“used this chop saw yesterday for the first time. there is a night and day difference between this chop saw with a steel blade vs a traditional chop saw. It cuts steel like butter, plus the cuts are more accurate and cleaner than the traditional chop saw. tons of power. i can already tell that this chop saw is going to save me a lot of time and money!”

“Moving from a Harbor Freight abrasive wheel to the Evolution S380CPS Metal Cutting Chop Saw was a giant leap in features and satisfaction. Pros: Few if any sparks (abrasive wheels were flame throwers and put dust all over my shop like sawdust), parts are cold to the touch after cutting, amazingly clean cuts. Cutting standard tube steel is effortless. After cutting threaded rod, it required no touchups to immediately screw on nuts... amazing. Cutting 45-degree angles is perfect everytime due to the 45, 30, and 15-degree plunger stops. I love the chip collection tray! I only have one con/recommendation: would be nice if I could hook up my shop vac to help catch the metal chips.”
