“I have made a few cuts with this saw since purchasing it and it cuts amazing. The one thing I caution you on is cutting short pieces. I was cutting thin wall 1" square tubing pieces about 3" long. I had cut several of these pieces and noticed every once in a while it would catch and throw the cut off piece as it came to the end of the cut. Speeding up the cut or slowing down made no difference. When I realized what a huge problem this could be was when it flung one of the pieces into the upper guard, wedged between the upper guard and blade and broke off the stud that the bearing for the sliding guard is bolted to. With that piece broken the sliding section of the guard that slides will no longer work. Needless to say now my brand new saw has no guard and is not for the faint of heart but it works.”

“My area welder showed me his S380CPS cold saw and demonstrated it to me after I asked him about his portable band saw. I'm retired and like to work with metal on a hobby basis and I cut metal primarily with a hand-held cut-off saw and a standard chop saw. He suggested a cold saw and I'm glad he did. I bought one and my only disappointment is that I bought the chop saw first before I bought this cold saw. I would have never guessed that this saw and blade cuts metal like it does. No regrets in spending the money on this saw. I would do it again in a heartbeat. It's added a new level of enjoyment in metal working for me.”
