The saw was not easy to assemble (I am partially disabled though). The mitre guide arrived broken but was soon replaced by the manufacturer. Once in use it's a very nice table saw.

The performance of the Fury 5 saw is very good, with one small exception. The design of the adjustable fence could be improved to maintain its 90 degree guidance better. The 2 Cap headed Socket screws which fasten the Fence section to the adjustable clamp section do not give positive location, and some movement is evident there , even if you tighten these screws up as much as possible. An improvement in this could be obtained by using countersunk Socket screws, which give more positive location than the Cap headed socket screws. I had one such Countersunk screw available, and substituting this for the rearward Cap headed screw gave a definite improvement in rigidity of this assembly- a cheap simple solution.

Great value for money, a bit of thought needs to be applied when putting together but cuts well and is as good as the much more expensive saws out there. It is only for fairly light use in the prep room for Design Technology in a small specialist school only about 50 pupils.

guide on side of blade works well enough but could have been more ridged. When cutting into blade the work stops and I have to lift the front of timber to continue cut. The cross cut guide runs in slot which is a sloppy fit and I have to push the guide against the RH side of slot to cut true. Would not try to cut metal as the blade will cutt wood but you need fine pitch on teeth and a slower cutter speed. OK when cutting laminates and MDF sheet. cutter runs too fast when cutting hard wood block 2 inch thick, side wall of cut burns glue used by manufacturer of wood block, which was made up of 1 inch strips.
