“Functions as you would expect. Minimal set up time. It's a portable saw, it does that function well. It is not a big saw so don't expect to cut deeper than 95mm. There is no power feed nor finger guides. The fence is good though the T slots are 10mm wide.”

“First saw arrived promptly after ordering and was found to have been damaged - the fence was crushed in the box. I was informed no spare fences were available, so was given the option to return the saw (which I took). A week or so later, another saw is delivered - only to be the same saw I returned but with a new fence placed in the box. I thought ok, I'll set it up. Got half way through to find the rack and pinion fence extenders would not move. A quick call to Evolutions's technical team identified that they'd been damaged. So, another return was arranged and I requested a new saw be delivered. Was then given a tracking number, which showed the saw had been collected but days later there was no sign of it. Another call to Evolution revealed it was on a different tracking number and that it was due imminently. A new saw arrived that day, and I unpacked it only to find another damaged fence inside. A further call to Evolution identified that a replacement fence isn't available until the new year. The fence is serviceable but dented, so I agreed to wait for a replacement to be posted. Upon setting up the saw, I struggled to get the tilt to reach 45 degrees. I used a digital Angle reader and this confirmed it was only reaching 44 degrees on full tilt, despite rotating the positive stop adjustment to it's very minimum position and checking the stop on 0 degrees was positioned correctly. Rather that rig Evolution again and have to send the saw back again, I unscrewed the stop and filed it down until it permitted the full 45 degrees tilt to be achieved. Far from ideal on a brand new saw, but given that I'd already waited nearly a month to get a working saw since placing my order, I wasn't prepared to go through the motions of pickup and replace a fourth time (the courier is on first name terms with me he's visited that many times). Not the greatest experience, but the saw is nice... just took a long time to get it. Somewhat disappointing that I needed to fashion a fix to work around the tilt problem, but then again I'm unlikely to really need to use that particular feature of the saw. It wouldn't put me off Evolution as they have been proactive at trying to resolve problems that mostly stem from delivery, but it could have been a better, smoother purchasing experience.”

“I initially purchased my table saw to cut timber for a raised garden bed. As it's a large project, a table saw was definitely cut down on the amount to cutting I'd have to do. I'm certainly ompressed with its capabilities and will be using it for other projects about the home. My only negative so far is that the unit is heavy so I will either purchase the stand that goes with it or fix lockabel wheels to its base to help portability.”

“Great choice, this site saw has every facility you could want in a compact design. The sliding table works really well, the blade is a universal type with 28 teeth and a really narrow 2mm kerf. I didn’t like the blade guard so won’t be using that but the riving blade is good and I understand a new one is being developed. Also a zero clearance plate is due next year. Cuts really well although I found the motor rather loud even with the soft start option. Very pleased overall”
