“Love the idea of a mitering chop saw. I have a porter cable dry cut saw and a 4x6 delta band saw, none are swivel head. Comparing the delta vs the s355mcs the delta is better. The s355mcs needs to be mounted down as the base flexes a lot when you tighten the clamps. The fence needs to be thicker to stop the flexing. The fence is not 90 degrees with the base, there is no adjustability built into the saw for this. Make sure you use the downward clamp to help with the problem. There is movement with the head and swivel base, not a lot, be to me this should have been built stout. Chips, the s355mcs throws them everywhere, really needs a better chip collection design. My porter cable does a fantastic job at collecting the chips. The machining for the side clamp bar hole in the base was screwed up and was just machined bigger resulting in a sloppy fit. Not a big deal as it works fine, but at the price this base should have been thrown away. The blade, I will stick with the Diablo blades that I have always ran. Overall it does its job for faster mitering, and I like the multiple clamps.”

“This is the cats meow for cutting metal! I have used abrasive chop saws, handheld and stationary band saws. This S355MCS beats them all in its ability to make straight, clean, repeatable miter cuts. Of course straight cuts are also perfect. So impressed that I am purchasing another one for the farm shop!”

“I recieved my evolution chop saw in a timely manner. When opening box it appeared well packaged and well built. After assembly of the saw, I proceeded to make a few cuts. I realized something was not right with the clamps. Upon further inspetction, I discovered the two back stops were not in line with each other. This causes the clamps to bind the material and make an uneaven cut. I Have reached out with no response yet.”

“Cuts better than it’s advertise and not having to deal with huge amount of sparks compared to using a traditional chop saw is Awesome. Needs a good portable cart / stand for it.”
