So having used this saw now for about 2 months i can say what i really think. Im a professional carpenter and own 2 other high end saws iv got the dw780 dewalt which is my daily and iv an old makita ls0714ln for small bits both 110v. The r255 was to replace the makita as the dewalt is my daily i didnt want to spend a huge amount on a cordless saw that would live in the van 75% of the time. But since using the r255 and getting used to it i find myself grabbing it more and more over the dewalt as it cuts nearly the same size stuff and is way lighter and no cable. I still use my dewalt when iv got a lot of cutting to do because once its set up with the extractor on site its a work horse. But the r255 is great for just about everything else. I think providing its not fitted with a rage blade or a cut everything blade and is fitted with a decent wood cutting blade its bang on. I also have the zero Clearance insert for it and that is a bit cheap and plasticky could do with being a bit more beefy. Most of the lads that i know that have used my r255 say its a big step up from evolution saws of the past and would buy it.

Dan, Thanks for the feedback on the new Cordless Double Bevel Mitre Saw. We're really happy to hear that's it's taking on your long term favourite saws. We hear what you say about the wood blade choice and we agree with you, it makes sense to include the wood blade with the saw so we will offer that as an option.
