Used hammer chisel action to take down a brick wall. It worked well, was powerful enough to do the job and light enough for my wife to use as well. Good performance at a low price.

This is a well made drill with good build and a quality feel to it works as it says on the tin Now for the disappointing bit the instruction are the worst I have ever seen. The picture of the four applications is illegible and the so called instructions make a poor attempt at what each one does apart from that I think it is good value for money.

Had the drill for two weeks and used it twice. I'm not a big guy and It feels not too heavy nor light for me and fits in my average sized hands well. Used it first for chiselling concrete and it worked with no problems apart from the fact that it got very hot at the chuck end after about half an hour - it still did the job though. Secondly, used it to drill some 12mm holes into masonry and again it coped very well with this as expected. So not much use but it works. One issue though, the supplied case is made from a light duty plastic. some parts of it are ridged like the corners (expected) but most of the flat sides of the case are thinner plastic (unexpected) and press in very easily if holding the case other than from the handle. Worse are the two fastening clips on the front corners - very poorly made, one has already broken off when I opened the case a second time. I take great care with all my DIY tools and know it wasn't me being heavy handed or anything, I just unclipped it as anyone would normally. So now I can only clip it on one side. I wouldn't expect this after two weeks and only using the drill twice. If the other one breaks I'll have no storage case. This drill replaced my now dead Black & Decker drill which was 50watts more than this one, but so far the SDS4-800 has performed equally well and cost much less at only £55 from Tesco.

Handle broke the first time I used it. Drill returned to shop from which I purchased it 2 days after purchase.

Using this for home use so far drill has performed well. However the handle bracked failed within 5 min of use. Part No 78, I called for replacement and emailed Alan who promised a quick replacement,
